Counselor's Day at MDCC
Area counselors participate in team building activities as part of MDCC's Counselor's Day
MDCC recently played host to over 45 area high school counselors. Daniel Vassel, retired
Coahoma County administrator, was the keynote speaker and addressed topics such as
interpersonal skills, communication and teamwork for education, business and industry.
MDCC personnel were also on hand to discuss topics such as financial aid, student
life, dual enrollment, programs of study and admissions timelines for high school
juniors and seniors.
Hosted in the J.S. Vandiver Student Union, Counselor's Day centered around professional
development and provided those in attendance with an opportunity to earn CEU’s while
also learning more about MDCC's academic and career-technical programs.
