MDCC Health Care Assistant Pinning Ceremony

MOORHEAD, Miss. (May 1, 2024) – Mississippi Delta Community College (MDCC) held its Spring 2024 Health Care Assistant Pinning Ceremony on Mon., April 29, in the Greer-Stafford Allied Health Building on the MDCC Moorhead campus. Graduates of the Health Care Assistant program are eligible to sit for the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program Examination.

Also known as a certified nursing assistant (CNA), health care assistants work very closely with clients. The assistant provides personal care such as bathing, feeding and dressing while also performing support functions such as taking vital signs, making beds, transporting clients and assisting clients with daily living activities.

Graduates from this program may work in a variety of settings including nursing homes, long term care facilities, personal care facilities, hospitals, home health agencies and private homes.
