Pell Grant Refunds
A student who remains enrolled beyond the 60% point of the semester earns all Pell Grant aid for that semester. Therefore, the student may be eligible for a refund, if the financial aid award is in excess of the student account charges.
Please monitor your student email and student account on a regular basis. When the refund process begins, you will be able to see that your student account zeroes out. The actual processing of refunds takes several days.
General Refund Information
In order to provide more flexible options for receiving refunds, MDCC has partnered with BankMobile Disbursements to deliver financial aid and other school refunds to MDCC students.
The refund program will give students the following options for receiving refunds:
- Electronic Deposit To Another Account
- Electronic Deposit To A BankMobile Vibe Account
All students will be asked to select a refund delivery preference from the options listed above. Here’s what will need to be done:
1. Update mailing address
BankMobile will mail a Refund Selection Kit to students at the current address on file with MDCC. Students can make updates to their address if they log in to their MyBanner account.
2. Look for the green envelope
Students should look for their Refund Selection Kit in the mail; it will arrive in a bright green envelope. It contains a personal code for making a refund preference selection. Students will also receive an email at their student.msdelta.edu address from BankMobile with a personal code and instructions for setting up their account.
3. Visit RefundSelection.com to make a choice
Once the kit arrives, students should click here to visit the website and enter their personal code to select how they would like to receive their money.
If students select the BankMobile Vibe account as their refund choice, they will receive a temporary virtual Debit MasterCard® to use until their physical card arrives in the mail.
